How does the face shape test work?
Oval, round, square, heart, diamond and oblong are ways to describe proportions. Many faces fall between two shapes. We compare length, cheekbone width, forehead width and jaw width rather than trying to fit everyone into a perfect category.
How to choose a photo for your face shape test
Tie hair back if it hides your forehead or cheeks. Use a level camera, a relaxed jaw and a photo taken from a comfortable distance. The top forehead landmark is an estimate of the visible face boundary, not a measurement of the hairline.
